I was just talking with my dad about a bunch of different things...life...people...
We talked about a lot of things I've been thinking about lately. Like how the most friendly/nice/grateful people in the world have undergone some of the worst/saddest situations you can think of. How people can turn bad situations, and learn lessons from them...and stop taking things for granted.
We also talked about the importance of humility...How important it is when you're in a serious relationship...or any important relationship (friends/family too). The ability to fess up and apologize or admit to your mistakes and faults. In the end, if the person truly cares about you, they should still appreciate you, and maybe even want to help you!
Other things I started thinking about was just how life comes down to such simple decisions, sometimes decisions that seem completely meaningless at the time. Like think about how you came to know your best friends...your significant other... think about how you came to be at your current job... Almost all these big parts of your life, stem from a simple decision you made at one point...or even from simple decisions that OTHERS made at one point. The decision to go grab that application, instead of simply driving past the establishment....the decision to say "hello" or "good day" to that cute person at the coffeeshop. The most important aspects of our lives often come down to these simple little decisions. In fact, most things in life...even though sometimes they may seem impossibly complicated...can be dealt with or thought of, in a very very simple way...That's probably the best way to deal with them actually... If something's impossibly complicated, we don't even want to deal with it. The solution is to find a way to think about it in a simple way. The best way to think about it is probably thinking first "What's going to be best for me in the long term?"...second is "what simple decisions can I make right now, to make things turn out that way?".
Anyways, I'm in a super good mood... mm random life advice
1) Always focus on the positive
2) Remember that everything in life comes down to simple decisions
3) Humility...It's a necessary aspect of life we have to face, it's a good trait to filter through your fake relationships and make the true ones stronger.
4) Become the most positive and enthusiastic person you know! No one likes a boring lame-o, if you think about it, you can turn anything into a super interesting/entertaining/hilarious conversation.
OOOOKKAYY I'm done now. Go out and enjoy your life.
